Company Overview

EMO Health is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides statewide technical assistance, workforce development, and clinical guidance to support substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers and facilities build capacity and knowledge related to medications.

Company History

EMO Health was founded by a female Navy Veteran in 2015 to provide innovative solutions and leverage pharmacists as drug experts and educators to improve medication usage and health outcomes.

In 2017, EMO Health partnered with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to pilot a first-of-its-kind medication model of care in a 100-bed ASAM 3.1 level of care addiction treatment facility. The program earned national recognition in 2018 and is currently funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Today, EMO’s medication management and training services are open to nearly 500 substance use disorder programs and have retained hundreds of patients in treatment across Massachusetts.
