Company Overview
Duval's Pharmacy has been a fixture in the community for over 75 years. Since 1946, it has been our goal to truly serve our community. From leading the way in digitization and reducing tobacco use in the area, to now implementing green initiatives, we always put our community first, from our customers to our environment.
John started at Duval's Pharmacy when he was in the seventh grade. Now, sixty years later, he is the partially retired owner. He started as a stock boy and held every position at Duval's. John was chosen pharmacist of the year by both state pharmacy groups. He is especially happy to work with his children and grandchildren at the pharmacy.

Company History
Our family has been serving customers throughout the south shore by providing a quality pharmacy experience since 1946. Our founders, Howard and Adeline Duval, built a thriving pharmacy by always remembering that caring and service is what is most important. Howard and Adeline were happy to be joined shortly thereafter by their son John, his wife Pat and nephew Buzz in carrying out their vision of personalized health care for their customers.
We've come a long way from our small pharmacy built in 1946. Today's store in Whitman has been enlarged and updated multiple times since our original opening. We have a great crew of associates and are proud to have the third and fourth generations of the Duval family ready and willing to serve now, and for years to come.
Duval's Pharmacy, a true community pharmacy, has had many firsts. We were the first pharmacy in the area to computerize and to have more efficient records for our customers. Decades ago we were among the leaders in dropping all tobacco products. And a few years ago we went "green" by installing solar panels on our roof. To further reduce our carbon footprint, we have decided that the time has come to start phasing out single-use plastic bags. As we continue to grow we will always keep in mind what is best for our customers and the environment.
